The Update

So it's been almost a month since my last post. I guess things have been crazy. ND is 4-1 and the Skins are 3-0. A good start to the football season. We've been to Pittsburgh for the ND game and to South Bend for the ND/MSU game.

We also attended Alex Lipari's first Birthday and finally got a weekend to be home.

Last Saturday we took the girls Apple picking. It was a fun day, but a little bit warm for fall. On Sunday, I got to play Baltusrol, the golf course where they held the PGA championship this year. I shot a 96 on a very tough course, including 4 Pars!!

The next few weeks will be nuts. We're heading to DC this weekend for Maryse's cousins' baby shower. And the next week, off to ND to watch the IRish take on #1 USC. I can't wait! THe magic is back and the Irish will win that game.

The holidays are fast approaching and it looks like 2005 is almost over. But between now and then, there is a lot of FOOTBALL!!!

3 Days to Go!

I know you all can't wait for football season to begin, so I thought I would remin everyone that there are 3 days left until Notre Dame travels to Pittsburgh. Let the Weis Era begin. The ressurection of Notre Dame football has begun, and all the haters out there better get out of the way.

My prediction ND 31 Pitt 20.

It's been a While

Since I last posted to the Blog, a lot has happened. Here's a quick summary:

Mia turned 2: The birthday party was great. She was surrounded by friends and family, and even Elmo made a visit.

Dad turned 31: A nice day, lunch with the family in NYC and then Mia and Mom baked a cake!

Mom turned 32: A round of golf in the morning and a very nice dinner out.

Vacation: We spent a week in South Jersey. We played golf, went to the beach, took the girls to the Zoo, went on a friend's boat, and took Mia to the Wiggles concert, which she LOVED.

Now back to the grind. Just a friendly reminder that the first Notre Dame game of the season: ND vs. Pittsburgh, is in only 9 days!

The best time of year begins now, Football Season!

4th of July in Chicago

We got back from our trip to Chicago last night. We went to see Colleen, Mike and Shannon for the weekend. Friday night we went out to dinner with the Robsons and with Maryse's cousin Melissa and her husband Steve.

On Saturday, Mike and I played golf in the morning. The ladies took all 3 girls to the park for some fun. In the afternoon, we all headed to the pool, where we had a great time playing with Shannon, Mia and Madison. We followed up our trip to the pool with an excellent steak dinner. The restaurant provided us with a private room (probably to keep our kids away from their customers), and Colleen's mom, Sheila Mickus, joined us. After dinner, the girls did a litlle shopping while Mike and I got to go see Star Wars: Episode III.

On Sunday, we started the day with a nice trip to the park to let the girls play. Colleen and Mike arranged for a babysitter to watch the girls, while we headed into the city to the Cubs/Nationals game. Steve and Melissa joined us at the game. After returning from the game, we went to the North Shore Country Club, as guests of Mrs. Mickus. They had a giant slide, a mooon walk, and some other fun activities for the kids, followed by a wonderful buffet dinner to celebrate the 4th.

Monday morning, we headed to the park again to play with the girls. In the afternoon, Maryse, Mia, Madison and I headed for the airport to fly home. We sat on the tarmac for 3 hours before taking off. The plane was filled with families with little kids. One of the kids proceeded to scream for a full hour after take off. Mia and Madison handled the delay beautifully. Mia was walking around making friends with anyone she could find. Thanks to our delay, we were able to watch about 20 different fireworks shows from the air, when we got close to Newark, including the New York city show. An excellent bonus!

All in all, we had a great weekend, thanks to our wonderful hosts in Arlington Heights, the Robsons.

Hope everyone had a great 4th!

Off to the Bronx

Mike and Collen Robson came into NY state to visit his sister and parents. I am going to the Bronx to meet Mike, Troy and Brad for the Yankees/Cubs game.

Later this evening, Maryse will be bringing the girls to a restaurant out by Mike's sister's house, where we will get the opportunity to all enjoy some time and food together.

Madison is 4 Months Today

Madison turns 4 months old today. It's hard to believe that she has already been with us for 4 months, until you look at her. Then you would believe she has been around for 6 to 9 months. She has grown so much! She is already more than 18 lbs!
